Whether you are a producer doing electronic grooves, a band recording in Pro Tools or someone who wants your Reason or FL Studio recorded music to sound better, hiring a professional service like ours can help you achieve the sound you envisioned.
Having your tracks mixed by Interphase Studio can give them the professional touch they may need.
If you’re on a tight budget then our Analogue Summing or Summing + service can be a good alternative to Mixing.
But ideally, you bring in a fresh pair of ears and let us do our thing.
You have been working on your songs for quite a while, no? Well, your ears get tired, so most of the time, a fresh pair of ears can do wonders to your songs.

How ?

Send your tracks/stems via WeTransfer to: studio(at)interphase.studio
Please mention the service you would like to use.

Data
  • Make sure to provide consolidated AIFF/WAV files all starting at the same position (the beginning of the song).
  • 44, 48, 88 or 96 kHz - 16, 24 or 32 bit
  • Make sure that all tracks / files have appropriate names
  • Please provide your own mix for reference and feel free to add some references to songs you like.

What happens next ?
When we receive your tracks / stems, we’ll send you an invitation to pay through PayPal (after verifying your tracks).
We usually reply within 24 hours, and start working on your summing or mix once we have received confirmation of payment.
Summed masters are usually send back to you within 48 hours, but for a full mix we like to take a couple of days.
While doing a full mix, we can stream the output of our console, so you hear what we hear, wherever you are.
While we are doing this, you can communicate with us and send us feedback through Skype or Facebook. It’s almost like being in the studio with us. (but you are of course welcome to come over as well)

Pricing
  • Analogue Summing : €50
  • Analogue Summing + : €100
  • Basic Mix : €150 for a single mixdown. This includes one revision and the premastered mix.
  • Full Mix : €250 In our experience, results are better when we are allowed time to do a mix, and when we all get time to distance ourselves from a mix (so do a first mix and come back the next day to make adjustments, for example) With our Full Mix offer, we block the studio, take the time needed, and continue until all of us are satisfied. The mix process may very well be spread out over 3 to 4 days.
  • Live / On Location Recording : on request
  • Mastering : on request

These prices are per song.
Please contact us for a quote if you would like us to sum, mix or master a full album.

Note: As you may have noticed, we’re not just some commercial mixing service, moving from one project to the next. In order to get the best results, we need to “feel” your music. If we don’t like it, or think we can not add something to your music, we’ll honestly tell you before we start working on your mix. That is no judgement on the quality of your music, so please don’t feel offended. But we strongly believe that there is no point in trying to improve a track which we really don’t like, or don’t get the feel for. Just like you, we’re trying to do something creative, and don’t want to get the feeling that we are working in a factory.

Some suggestions on audio track export

Make sure that your audio tracks are exported correctly before sending us files through WeTransfer.

Here are some easy steps:
Absolutely make sure that all tracks have the same starting point. You do this by bouncing / exporting from the beginning of the song. This means you’re effectively bouncing / exporting blank if one of the tracks has no recording for the first 24 bars for example.
It is impossible for us to do summing or mixing if not all tracks have the same starting point.

If you want us to do Analogue Summing or Summing +, then please make sure that all EQ, effects, panning and automation is applied to the tracks/stems. This is not necessary if you want us to do a Basic or Full Mix (see below).

For Analogue Summing and Summing + we require stereo stems (24 max).
Working at 88 or 96 kHz, we can sum 16 stereo tracks (32 channels total).
Working at 44 or 48 kHz, we can sum 24 stereo tracks (48 channels total).
If your session includes one or more auxiliary or effects tracks, then make sure you export these as well.

Please verify that no tracks are missing and that all your exported tracks/stems are in sync, by importing them in a new session.

In case of a Basic or a Full Mix, we prefer to receive your files with no effects, unless they are an integral part of the recorded sound. Adding our own effect procession allows us greater control over the finished mix, and will lead to better results.
